An Eco Resort serves to enhance the harmony with nature you experience during the jungle safari. TIGER TALES does just that. In the shortest possible time our Tipeshwar Resort has come to be seen as a part of the Tipeshwar eco system.
STAY COMFORT IN THE BEST TIPESHWAR RESORT
The TIGER TALES offers you all the worldly comforts that you need while on a well deserved short holiday to be spent in sighting a plethora of wonderful wild creatures. The cottages at our Tipeshwar resort are best suited for readying for a back breaking session of tiger safari and that of relaxation after the tiresome jaunt in the TWS.

A hot/cold water shower in the spacious washroom is always in order as your preparation to refresh yourself after returning from the jungle. You have ample sitting space in the porch and inside the cottage to share your thrilling experiences if you feel like it.
Lying down for a brief while on the bouncy mattress while you wait for that hot cup of tea/coffee will put you back on the track for rejuvenating yourself. You can enjoy your cuppa sitting in the porch or while just lazing in the small lawn in front of your cottage.
The dining area in Tipeshwar Resort is well kept, is expansive enough to accommodate over 40 guests at one go. The kitchen is sanitized, is well stocked and manned by well trained/experienced team of cooks who serve lip smacking vegetarian/non vegetarian food.
While the basic food offer that comes with the tariff has regular/common dishes for breakfast/lunch/supper, you can opt for your choice of food from the a la carte menu. You will be required to wait for 20 minutes to 30 minutes for the food to be served.
The lush green lawn spanning the central open space of the property has a calming effect on you in the mornings and evenings. You can also have a perfect view of picturesque sunrise and sunset on a clear day while sitting in the lawn.
And last, but not the least. The property has several SELFIE points, especially the plaque at the entrance for you to capture images for posterity.
ABOUT US AND THE LEGENDARY TIGERS
The tiger has always been a subject of curiosity to humans, even mysticism, an example being the worship of this magnificent wild animal by ethnic tribes. The tiger is also central to local folklore and the tales some of which can be traced to the compact habitat that Tipeshwar Wldlife Sanctuary (TWS) is and its beautiful inhabitants.
It is these tales which we actually saw getting enacted in the scenic forest, and which form a major part of our visual documentation of resident tigers here, are the inspiration behind our continued association with the place. The high point of our esoteric association is establishment of TIGER TALES the humble eco tourism resort.

The TWS is spread over 148 sq. km, a comparatively much smaller extent of a habitat than a regular Tiger Reserve but the population of the big cats it shelters has been in the range of 15 to 18 at any given point in time which makes it rather special in terms of sightings of the wild animal.
The high population is even responsible for some rare 'social' activity among the resident tigers which make them stand on the same plane as humans when it comes to use of brains. These are the tales which made us name the eco resort as Tiger Tales.

Our 'love story' with TWS and its fabulous wild fauna started as cell phone camera wielding initiates hunting for pug marks of tigers. We had to wait till 2012 for our first sighting of a big cat.
It was an unexpected event. A fully grown hunk of a tiger had suddenly emerged from behind a large tree and made us the subject of his intense angry gaze for a few seconds before ambling away from us.
The sheer sight of a majestic tiger in the wild was quite thrilling, to put it mildly. It still is.
BY 2016 we were ‘shooting’ tigers with a digital camera which soon gave way for more sophisticated wildlife photography equipment. It is around this time that the famous stories were being spun inside the tiger habitat.

The first tale to be ‘written’ is that of the legendary Star Male which lorded over the wild denizens in the sanctuary for about a decade starting 2013. Being the single dominant male it sired as many as 33 cubs from three female tigers.
The territory of the Star male was subsequently ‘seized’ by Zanjeer in 2022 and it continues to rule the place. The pretty male got its name thanks to the stripes on its right side resembling a chain.

Talaowali female
The T1-C1, or Walker as it is fondly called, a male inhabitant of the TWS became a legend when it covered the longest ever distance while migrating. The radio collared big cat covered over 3,000 km in Telangana and Maharashtra between June 2019 and 2021.
The 4 mark female from the Sanctuary has it territory located on the border between Telangana and Maharashtra. It criss-crosses the riverine border quite freely and frequently.
But the most unusual and completely intelligent behaviour comes from the Talaowali female. It has ‘allowed’ a cub of Archie, a different female to grow up with its litter of two cubs and teach them the art of survival in the wild.

There was, however, less of tourism activity around that time in the TWS owing to the lack of proper place for stay for the wildlife enthusiasts. Many of the visitors who became friends while in the jungle suggested us to start a ‘resort’ assuming that we better understood the requirement of visitors drawing from our long association with the TWS.
